In this drawing from the “With a Shoe on the Head” collection, a character is depicted wearing five stars as a sign of apparent superiority, but his ideas and thoughts remain confined to the image of a shoe, which is his brain. Five stars characterize the thoughts that emanate from his brain, the collar of his suit, and the way Zaplaflora represents the ideas that emanate from his mouth. The image of the five stars is repeated, this time in very minute detail, on the back of his neck and on the shoe. The number five is the conceptual key to this magnificent drawing, in which the artist contrasts the appearance of superiority in ideas and thoughts with a reality in which there is nothing but a lack of imagination, creativity, efficiency, and productivity.
