When Everything Pauses

About this artwork

During my walks through Israel, I often find myself drawn to the trees. Each one is different — wide-branched, twisted, cracked, reaching upward. I’m fascinated by the way light filters through the leaves — gently, yet insistently, as if it’s trying to remind me of something important. I didn’t aim for realism; I wanted to capture a feeling — that quiet moment when everything pauses and you simply look. This piece came from that feeling. I painted it in acrylic on paper, almost in one breath.
