This painting was born out of silence. I wanted to capture a fragile moment when even the smallest light becomes a guide in the darkness. The girl holding the candle represents inner stillness, warmth, and resilience. As I worked on the composition, I was inspired by the soft landscapes of the Renaissance — distant horizons that suggest timelessness and introspection. The glowing candle not only lights her face, but also reveals a dreamlike space behind her, where memory and nature quietly meet. This piece reflects my personal search for balance, calm, and meaning — and the quiet light we all carry within.
