Charon Wakes up Dreaming of Peace

About this artwork

«Charon Wakes Up Dreaming of Peace» is an oil and acrylic painting on canvas that depicts Charon's longing for peace to come to the world so that he can rest from his heavy labor of transporting the souls of the dead across the rivers of the underworld. The desire for peace transcends logic, even the mythological logic that is intertwined with human life. The dawn evokes hope and new beginnings, something Charon normally cannot see in the underworld.
