Alice in Wonderland meets 2023. My tongue in cheek poke at cultural appropriation.

In this piece there is an angry cat, being appropriated by the sweater cat, and an empty world outside the window, as it has been taken by the window cushion (the plants and flowers), and even the "Sweater Cat" has appropriated the clouds from the sky. Art is framed in black, hardware is in place.

Denise Brook is a contemporary artist who lives and works in San Diego, California. She was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles in the 1970’s and got her BFA from CSU Fresno.
