In this work, I explore the subtle boundary between light and darkness. The surrounding space is immersed in deep shadow, where the figure of a person almost dissolves. This darkness is not only external but also an inner state — uncertainty, fear, and solitude.
In front of the figure, a bright window opens — a source of light, hope, and possibility. The person reaches toward it, as if seeking a way out, a truth, a return to the self. On the other side of the light, a bird appears — a symbol of freedom, the soul, and awakening. It moves freely, while the figure remains on this side of the boundary, separated by a thin yet tangible barrier.
Here, light is not merely a physical phenomenon but a state of consciousness, a path to liberation. Darkness is the space from which this journey begins. The painting speaks of a choice: to remain in the shadows or to step toward the light.
