Old House
About this artwork
This old house stands right next to ours on September 17th Street .. I had my eyes on it for a long time, I walked by and watched it, looked at it ... And finally this summer I started to write it .. It is fenced on all sides by a fence , you can't get close to it, but in the courtyard, due to the lack of maintenance, gorgeous greenery has grown: tall thick grass, fluffy bushes and branchy trees ... But the most interesting thing is ivy, which covered the old walls with a thick cover, climbed into all the cracks of the fallen off plaster and continues to crawl over the old reddish-yellow bricks typical of old Polish houses .. In short, sheer beauty ... And so you walk by, you look at this dilapidated building and think how much you've seen this house ... which soon won't be will become .. But the point is different. Time passes, the era changes, history is written .. Some things seem to be static and only accept someone's memories, become random evidence of culture or aesthetics .. And the more time passes, the more vividly these features appear, and the simplest thing becomes interesting, picturesque , even mysterious, excites the imagination and enriches the memory .. An interesting metamorphosis .. An amazing transformation of the banal into the extraordinary, the wretched into the beautiful ...
