Krishna symbolizes love in Hindu mythology. Lord Krishna says do everything you have to do, not with lust, envy, greed, or ego, but with love, compassion, humility and devotion. The purest love is liberating, and is devoid of emotional as well as materialistic needs. Compassion brings you closer to people. Ego makes one feel superior and restricts social bonding. Devotion helps you listen to others’ soul. Lust and envy arouse strong emotions leading to loss of senses. Humility towards co-workers, friends and family brings peace. Afore mentioned positive qualities blossom only when one learns to love. The act of giving enables us to have broader prospective towards life. It allows us to see beyond our lives, wishes, difficulties, while increasing the need to help others. Through giving, without expecting a return, we give love and receive love from others.
