Nickname: Kat Warwick
Country: United States
Bio: Kat lives and creates in her home town of Dallas, Texas, USA. She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from The University of North Texas with two areas of focus, graphic design and 3-D sculptural forms. With additional studies and personal experimentation in bronze casting, ceramic forms, jewelry, fused glass, welded forms, and stone carving, she has developed her current practice.
While maintaining a rigorous studio practice, Kat also teaches, runs two galleries and sits on the board at The Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Kat is a member of the informal art advisory panel for the new Dallas Salvation Army social services campus. Spreading the importance of the ancient art of stone carving to the public is an additional calling, so whenever possible, Kat participates in events both private and public as an event sculptor.
A proven record of acceptance into exhibitions and competitions has led to repeated awards and commission opportunities, such as receiving invitations four years in a row to participate in the State Fair of Texas' Invitational Sculpture Garden.
Kat's works are in public locations throughout the DFW metroplex, private collections and at her studio gallery.
