"Emotions in a Painting". Curator's Note

Dear artists.

Without a doubt, it has been a great pleasure for me to be the curator of this exhibition. It is always a great opportunity to meet new artists and their work. I greatly appreciate  People and Paintings for this opportunity. The dissemination of art, opening a door to artists, and rewarding their effort is something that this gallery is doing very well and is appreciated.

Emotions do not understand language, borders, distances, or race. We use our own means of expression to demonstrate them through sadness, a smile, a cry ... but also painting. A vigorous brushstroke can show anger, the use of the predominant color red can show love, a monochrome work can show loneliness ...

It is incredible to see how each painter has tried to show these emotions in different ways, through an autumn landscape, through a portrait, through a flower, or through geometric or abstract lines. Painting gives us the ability to infinitely express these emotions.

The selection of the works has been complicated due to the high level of all the participants. In the end, a large number of artists from 16 different countries participated. There were many works that gave off a great emotional charge.   To choose the winner, I have tried to assess the execution and technique of the work and the emotional content that it suggests to me. It is always difficult to choose one among so many.

I hope that the selected artists serve as a stimulus to evolve and boost your artistic career and I encourage those not selected to continue creating and experimenting.
