Short art story: "Morning silence", by Igor Dubovoy

The title and the beautiful colors suggest exactly what we see - the morning silence, colored by the sun in light shades of pink, purple and blue. A clear, calm water, two half-flooded boats, pulled to the shore, next to each other. In the background we notice the fog.

The lake becomes a mirror of the sky and the atmosphere, fine colored by sunlight. What we have here is just an amazing watercolor on paper, done by the artist in a realistic manner, with a special attention and sensitivity.

We can almost feel the coolness and dampness of the morning, combined with the subtle warmth of the sun. The shore with its vegetation and the boats keep us anchored to the earth, while the distance where the water merges with the sky makes us think of infinity and unknown possibilities.
