I have travelled to many places, New Zealand, the USA (roughly 12 times), England, France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain. All of these places have many wonderful things to see and experience, but I don’t think any of them can compare to home, Australia. We have stunning rain forests in the north, snowfields in the south, some of the worlds most beautiful beaches and our amazing Red Centre, not to forget the Great Barrier Reef. It would take writing a book to tell you all the great things about it and we all know the stories about all our critters wanting to kill everyone (but that’s just part of our charm). There truly is now place like home.
The colours of the painting represent Australia in this way. The green is for our beautiful tropical rainforests and bushland. One blue for the Blue Mountains, the other blue for our beaches, rivers and lakes. Red for Uluru and the red centre desert. Purple because we are still under the Monarchy. And finally, the thin black and copper which represents the devastation our bushland suffered during the 2020 bushfires all over the country.
