This is a line from a song by Edith Piaf called “Milord” that was played all over Paris when I was there. It was about a woman encouraging a man she playfully called “milord” to loosen up and dance. I especially liked when Piaf half shouted, “Mais Oui Dansez! It was joyful moment that it especially appealed because I like to paint dancers, I always wanted to be a ballerina, and being young and in Paris did make me feel like dancing. This picture is my expression of everything the song meant to me one week in Paris a long time ago.
