Acrylic, watercolor, ink, and pressed botanicals come together in this piece that explores the tension between meditative pattern-making and uncontrolled material behavior. The central mandala-like form contains intricate hand-drawn designs—each line a record of presence and searching—while the surrounding field of purple watercolor blooms and splatters asserts its own organic logic.

The work balances deliberate mark-making with surrender: ink lines tremble and adjust as they trace floral and geometric motifs; watercolor pools, bleeds, and dries in ways that resist complete control; real botanical elements anchor the composition in the natural world. This interplay between intention and accident becomes the work's most honest expression—a visual conversation between what I plan and what the materials insist upon doing.

The imperfect circle, the visible layering, the integration of organic matter—all embrace a poetics of the unfinished and evolving. This is not about achieving flawless execution but about preserving the evidence of process, allowing the human hand and the unpredictable nature of mixed media to create something that lives in the space between chaos and order.
