Acrylic paint and ink, oil pastels, Bombay ink, collage elements, asemic writing, and pressed botanicals converge in this layered exploration of feminine presence and personal symbolism. The work builds through accumulation—each element added intuitively, creating a dense visual field where imagery, text, and organic matter coexist.
The central female figure emerges from a surrounding constellation of botanical forms, butterflies, birds, and fragments of printed matter. Asemic writing along the edges creates a private language, marking the boundaries between inner and outer worlds. Oil pastel marks add gestural energy; collaged papers provide texture and historical resonance; real flowers and leaves root the composition in the natural world.
This piece embraces the aesthetic of controlled chaos—where no single element dominates but rather all parts contribute to a whole that feels alive and in conversation with itself. The layering is visible, the edges are raw, the marks are honest. There's no attempt to hide process or achieve slick perfection. Instead, the work reveals its construction: overlapping decisions, transparent moments, places where materials resist and cooperate.
The imperfections—uneven edges, overlapping fragments, the organic irregularity of botanical elements—become signatures of authenticity. This is not about polish but about presence, not about mastery but about searching. Each layer is a record of intuition meeting material, creating something that honors both the planned and the accidental in the making of meaning.
