Earth Autumn

About this artwork

I was born in Autumn and see it as “my season,” and I see it in terms of earth images more than anything else. I like to go the to Bronx Botanical Garden especially in autumn, where I inspired by all the earth tones. The idea of earth and the idea of love and life go together for me. Earthy gourds and leaves falling to earth, browns and yellows and orange. Somewhat pensive, moody but despite the sense of Hopkins’ “goldengrove unleaving” there is the assurance that season will follow season in a secure progression, which makes me love the reliable arrival of autumn.
