This work captures a fleeting moment backstage. Two cabaret cats prepare for their midnight performance, draped in flamboyant feathers and jewels. Beneath the warm vanity lights, their reflections reveal sensitive versions of themselves, staring back with unspoken truths. In this quiet second, there is beauty, vanity, and pain. The lights are warm and gentle, but the scene will soon be gone. It is a small, selected pause, yet it is meant to disappear. Ephemerality lives in these cracks between who they are and who they must become.
