About this artwork

While walking through Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Arizona, I was totally present, due to the colors and textures of the native plantings in the Arizona desert. I stopped in my tracks when walking the pathway, coming upon this grouping of trees and bushes. I was totally drawn into the cave like environment. After reviewing my photos, I had to paint this fascinating spot, inviting viewers to also get lost in its movement, textures and beauty.
