In the shadow of beauty - represents the obsession some people have with trying to beautify every aspect of their life in order to feed the social medial machine. Spurred on by mainstream media, clever algorithms and "influencers" they become fixated with being in the spotlight. The missing eye represents the fact some don't even realise their obsession and are blindsided by it all.
