Onion and garlic, what could be more prosaic..but suddenly I saw perfect spheres of flowering onions in a country house, and in the evening the guests brought garlic stalks to the table, which curved into unusual spirals, I was fascinated by the beauty of these ordinary plants. I was interested in putting plants in an old Chinese vase, where the beauty of creation was adjacent to the beauty of the creation of human hands. So the plot of this picture arose
