Brotherhood

About this artwork

Brotherhood, a bond of love, competition and respect. By design, Brotherhood can be displayed in many different configurations. Vertical on a horizon of shards, horizontal on an island nest of shards, vertical on a swirling eddy of shards... or any combination you can imagine! My preferred configuation is 3 vertical brothers (eggs) on a swirling eddy of past experiences (shards). As with many of my sculptures, Brotherhood was created from discarded stone. Brotherhood was born from the remnants of Twilight Repose. It's always exciting when I can use 100% of a stone, a non-renewable resource, in the creation of meaningful art! NOTE: It is so easy to fall off the path of self discovery in today's world of instant distractions. All egg sculptures are precariously balanced as part of this story.
