Covid-19: The Shutdown

After March 2020, the beginning of a new century, I was able to forge ahead and creatively come up with an art series pertaining to Covid-19. The work appearing in this showing is titled "Covids-19: The Shutdown" has shapes in square collages applied forming a room with objects such as a table with empty chairs, an empty abstract space as well as a an opened door emphasizing no activity on the outside to ceiling white lighting. The brush stroke of orange and a stroke of light green gives this piece color and hope against everything being put to a stand still. Everyone affected by this pandemic is inevitably in a vulnerable place of fear, uncertainty, yet the optimism for an acquired vaccine. The overall art piece is lonely yet thought provoking when experiencing the Covids-19 pandemic.
