About this artwork
The small village in eastern Hungary is known for its “frescoes” (actually “seccoes”). A number of artists and organisations have joined forces to paint the firewalls of the houses, hoping that the boom in tourism will improve the lives of the locals. This was the dream. But the look on the little girl’s face tells you the reality.
