About this artwork

I started this painting to participate in a gallery exhibition in New York. The title of the exhibition was "Eyes: a passage to the inner world". So I created a painting with characters with big, expressive eyes, in the middle of a thick forest that represented my inner world. I titled my painting: "Through my eyes". But one of my grandchildren was interested in taking up the title of my painting, and he advised me to title it "The Jungle Tribe", because in his opinion the characters in my painting represented a tribe in the middle of the jungle, which could very well be the Amazon. Titled "Through My Eyes" or "The Jungle Tribe", here is a painting in my most personalized style that, without intending to, has made me return to the first years of my artistic career where the theme of the jungle and the Amazon was recurring in my works.
