In August 2023 "Thickness of Charm" received the First Place Award by the audience choice vote, in the International Exhibition "A World of Creativity and Artistic Diversity", sponsored by Brazilian "Liesel Cerna Studio International Group. The story behind: Being born in Cuba, since my earliest years, I was in close contact with the Caribbean and the Tropic mystical landscapes, where the thick vegetation and the multicolor wild flowers come to life as if they were humans living in the thicket. Those elements have been my source of inspiration in "Thickness of Charm", where I establish a spiritual and nostalgic connection with Nature. This painting takes me back to my childhood, when I used to get lost in the thickness, caressed by the warm Caribbean breeze and the exclusive aroma of the forests. This painting is the result of a very detailed and meticulous work. Each of its many brush strokes plays a specific role to create classic symbols and shapes inspired in the close relationship between man and Nature. All of them seem to be moving, to integrate themselves into a harmonious composition, full of variety at the same time. There you can see different faces immersed in the thickness of an idyllic forest that captivates because of its charm and splendor.
