Cauliflower Woman
About this artwork
CAULIFLOWER WOMAN Our world isn’t perfect, and neither are the people who live in it. Humans with body/mind/spirit attributes are bound to be imperfect in one way or another. Sadly, many of us are judged by hurtful adjectives because of our imperfections. Yet there are some of us courageous enough to dare to make our “differences” a poetic thing of beauty. Imagine a deaf person who turns sign language into a lovely movement of hands. How can we help but admire a mentally challenged person who chooses to learn a musical instrument to express his/her emotional journeys. My painting depicts a woman with “cauliflower” ears who chooses to celebrate it instead of feeling lessened by it.
