About this artwork
A challenging concept which took me through a series of scenarios and incarnations. I love bananas. Their skins sprawl across the table in a throwaway heap each day. So take a chopping board, paint with the skin using watercolours, spray paint over the shape, do it on a tablecloth and see what you get. Transformation? Transportation? Imagination? Celebration? I love bananas. Layered meaning wrapped in a skin.
