Mourning

About this artwork

The pandemic is wearing down both our physical and mental health, the barrage of negative news is unescapable and quarantine forces us to face the future with little or no hope, not only ours but of our parents and children. This constant fear make for an overlong vigil for respite in a war with an enemy who cannot be reasoned with. I see this wait as a man sitting on a mourning space, dotted with small candle-like flames; the mood is blue, there's no exit.
