Carmen

About this artwork

Carmen is a masterpiece by Bizet with world-famous melodies. It is about a passionate love with a tragic outcome. The protagonist is a gypsy girl with a dangerous charm. I painted this picture of a dancer friend of mine, and it could be a captured moment of the Spanish flamenco dance. Music, dance, painting: ecstasy, passion, humility. That's what this painting means to me.
