This scene holds fond memories for me as the trip to Tanzania was one of my last overseas adventures before Covid shut air travel down. My guide and I followed this matriarchal herd for awhile as I marveled at the care the adults bestowed on the tiny youngsters. This watercolor painting is in the complimentary hues of Prussian blue and Burnt Siena, a favorite dichotomy of mine. The thick wood frame enhances this color scheme.
