About this artwork

Botticelli has been my favorite artist since I was a child. I spent a lot of time looking at an album of Renaissance artists, and their paintings shaped me as a future artist and more. That's why I couldn't help but draw Botticelli. My painting raises questions about how the past influences our present and future, and how we interpret and reinterpret the legacy of great artists. Botticelli's gaze, spanning centuries, becomes a symbol of the eternal pursuit of beauty and harmony, and I feel as if he is looking at us with a sense of purpose.
